Barfield Nature Play Area
The Nature Play area around Barfield park is a great place for children to play ages 1 year olds to 8 years olds.
Walking and crawling on logs are great for balance and core strength. And lots of fun!
Huge sand box to play in for a great sensory tactile experience.
The small house is great for pretend play.
Wildlife:
The frog and turtle pond is a great place to visually search for turtles and frogs sunning themselves (in the winter they are hidden away in the mud). The Wilderness Station is a great place to see snakes, turtles, an owl, and a red tailed hawk.
Hike:
From the Wilderness Station there is a paved path and a wilderness hiking path that are both wonderful to explore.
